The goggles help Cisco's conduit of dimensional energies, allowing him to manipulate them with ease for different purposes, such as the creation of breaches between parallel universes. While in the goggles, Reverb appeared to be able to produce a weaponized form of "vibing" power, which Cisco also managed to perform during his confrontation with the Black Siren. The original purpose for the glasses were to help Cisco vividly enter his "dreams" after he started remembering his death at the hands of Eobard Thawne from a previous timeline.
Upgrades
The glasses were later modified by "Harry" with a wave length trigger to help stimulate the fear receptors in Cisco's brain and gain more control over his vibes to help find Eobard Thawne. Their actions were successful, as Cisco gained the ability to see the future, allowing the Flash to alter it. After this however, the glasses from Earth One were found useless to vibing in different Earths, to be specific, different frequencies when the team traveled to Earth Two
Earth Two Glasses
However on Earth Two, Cisco and Barry encountered Cisco's doppelgänger, a meta-human criminal known as Reverb, who used advanced gear in service to Zoom. After Zoom killed Reverb, Cisco acquired his doppelgangers goggles and brought them to Earth One to solve the problem of vibing when in different universes. Harry Wells later recalibrated Reverb's goggles, adjusting them to the frequency of Cisco's Earth and thus allowing Cisco to channel trans-dimensional energy and open breaches between different universes. They were later added to the Vibe suit along with a pair of Gauntlets.
Earth-X Glasses
Similar glasses were used by Vibe of Earth-X, presumably allowing him to have a similar array of powers.
Vibe Gauntlets

Possible future
In a possible future set in the year 2024 it was revealed that the Gauntlets were destroyed along with Cisco's hands after being frozen by Caitlin Snow as Killer Frost. But this future was erased after Savitar stopped her.
Vibe suit

Unlike other suit that Cisco has made, this suit doesn't have boots, instead it has a pair of red and gold trainers with golden zips and straps. It's unknown if Cisco put some form of protection into the suit as he could feel pain from Gypsy's punches, but it can be presumed he upgraded it after this event. Originally the suit only consisted of the Vibe Glasses, but sometime later Cisco decided to work on a full suit as he was seen making gauntlets for it to help control his powers more stating to Barry that they were the gauntlets for 'his suit', with the glasses to help with Cisco's 'vibing' and the gauntlets to help with his vibrational blasts, which he was only able to do once before.
Possible future year 2024
Was revealed that the Gauntlets of the suit were destroyed along with Cisco's hands, the rest of the suit was presumably discarded. This future was erased after Caitlin Snow managed to break free of her Killer Frost persona, and proceeded to stop Savitar from killing Cisco during the final battle against the evil speedster in 2017.
Usage
- Identity concealment : While also to help him control his powers, the glasses on the suit can presumably help to hide his identity.
- Vibrational blasts : Sometime after Barry created a new timeline, Cisco began to make gauntlets to help control his vibrational blasts. He had been able to do vibrational blasts before but he could only do it once. His Earth Two counterpart was able to do it without the help of Gauntlets, but this is because he was more in control with his powers.

Possible future
Cisco will lose his hands in a fight with Killer Frost. Because of this, Cisco will have a metallic pair of prosthetic hands which will work like his real hands, except for the fact that he will no longer use his powers because of losing them. However, due to H.R. Wells' death, this future was erased, along with the cybernetic hands.
