Advent Decks

Advent Decks are special card decks that each contain Advent Cards used by Riders of Kamen Rider Ryuki and its counterpart Kamen Rider Dragon Knight (on this page, Ryuki lore is listed before Dragon Knight lore, separated by a "/"). Advent Decks allow holders to sense the presence of Mirror Monsters and see into the Mirror World/Ventara. They are initially equipped with a Seal Card and a Blank Contract Card.

When inserted in a V-Buckle, can change the owner into a Blank form Kamen Rider (Ryuki/Dragon Knight and Ouja are the only ones seen with Blank forms). To become stronger and obtain more cards, the owner must use the Contract Card to form a contract with a Mirror Monster. Each deck has different weapons and abilities based the Rider's Contract Monster. All decks include an Advent/Attack Vent Card that summons the Contract Monster and a Final Vent in which the Rider and Contract Monster do a combination attack. Besides these cards, there are different categories of Advent Cards, e.g. Sword Vent, Strike Vent, Guard Vent, or Shoot Vent, that multiple Riders have their own versions of. Some Riders also have cards exclusive to them, like Freeze Vent, Spin Vent, and Nasty Vent.

When a user transforms into their Survive/Survive Mode form, their Deck changes color (i.e. Ryuki/Dragon Knight and Knight/Wing Knight's Decks turning from black to red and blue, respectively), increasing the Rider's power, giving them new Visors and allowing access to new cards. In Dragon Knight, Kit Taylor is shows to have cards used by his Survive Mode in his deck many episodes before his actual Survive Mode Card is introduced, implying that all Ventara Riders also have their Survive Mode decks with them, while their actual Survive Mode Cards are kept separate so they aren't tempted to use them when not absolutely necessary.

V-Buckle (Vent Buckle)

V-Buckle (Vent Buckle) known as Advent Belt in the Kamen Rider Dragon Knight toyline is the Kamen Rider Ryuki & Kamen Rider Dragon Knight transformation belt. When the Advent Deck is put up against a reflective surface, the belt appears. After the Rider shouts "Transform!" (Ryuki)/"Kamen Rider!" (Dragon Knight), the user slides the deck into the belt, starting the transformation. There is a variation of the V-Buckle - designed by Hideyuki Kagawa - used by the Alternatives, based on what he understood from the first few pages of Shiro Kanzaki's notes on Mirror World. This belt was used as the Advent Master's Advent Belt in Kamen Rider Dragon Knight.

Scissors Visor



Scissors Visor is a pair of shears on Kamen Rider Scissors left-forearm. It resembles one of Volcancer's claws and serves as his weapon when not using advent cards.

Scissors Pincher

Pincher modeled after Volcancer's right pincher.

Ride Shooter

Ride Shooter is a Rider Machine in Kamen Rider Ryuki and its American counterpart, Kamen Rider Dragon Knight. In Kamen Rider Ryuki, the Ride Shooter is a Kamen Rider's primary method of getting to the Mirror World and to the precise location of the Mirror Monsters.

Once a Rider would pass through a mirror or reflective surface, they would then be riding in a Ride Shooter as they were traveling through a portal to the Mirror World. The Ride Shooter would then shoot out of the reflective surface in the Mirror World. It can only be accessed by Riders that have completed their contract with their Contract Monsters. A Rider with a blank Advent Deck can still go through the mirrors and automatically assume Blank Form, but they are limited to where the Mirror Monster drags them in, and can only escape the Mirror World from the same point which they entered. Ride Shooters are used by the Kamen Riders in the A.R. World of Ryuki as well, as seen when Ren Haguro, Kamen Rider Knight, uses one to enter the Kamen Rider Trial.


Volcancer

Volcancer is a Mirror Monster that is contracted to Kamen Rider Scissors: Masashi Sudo in Kamen Rider Ryuki. Volcancer was the first example of the consequences that a Rider will face if they breach their contract with a Mirror Monster. Volcancer appears as Scissor's Contract monster and resembles a humanoid crab. His hands are giant pincers which are occassionally used by Scissors for attacks.

Advent Cards

• Advent (AP : 3000) : Summons Volcancer

• Strike Vent (AP : 1000) : Conjures Scissors Pincer. a large claw on his arm.

• Guard Vent (AP : 2000) : Conjures the Shell Defense shield.

• Final Vent (AP : 4000) : Scissors performs the Scissors Attack where Volcancer uses it's claws to launch him into the air where Scissors does a somersault spinning attack.

Kamen Ride : Scissors

  • Used by Kamen Rider Diend to summon Kamen Rider Scissors.
  • First used in the World of Shinkenger to fight Shinken Gold.
  • Also available to be summoned by Kamen Rider Diend in Kamen Rider : Climax Heroes OOO.
